It’s been awhile since I’ve packed for a proper beach vacation, so I was a little rusty to say the least. Here’s what I tossed in my bag:
We usually stay out on the beach till sunset, which means I’ve got to do a quick turnaround for dinner. This dress is super easy, but looks dressed up too. I’ve received so many compliments wearing it, I want to get it in black too.
I was in desperate need of a swim refresh. I bought this one-piece which felt so unique and has special details like embroidered beading and adjustable ties at the shoulders and hips.
Traveling with a child means gone are the days of sleeping in on vacation, which means we’re usually the first people at breakfast. The “pajama dressing” trend works for me, since I can basically roll out of bed and throw it on, but still look cute at the buffet. I love how this linen blend hook-up can be work together or as separates.
I purchased these YSL Tribute sandals as a gift to myself and I love how unexpected the linen and black combo is. The classic brown leather color is also super flattering and elevates any outfit.
I love my Cesta Collective bag; I pack it with me for pretty much every vacation. It’s a total statement piece and makes any outfit look instantly more special. My black and white color way is usually sold out, but I love this one too.
I always have at least one pair of Rebecca De Ravanel earrings in my suitcase. Bonus points; they’re clip ons!
A classic black swimsuit is my go-to. I always look for a simple cut with straps that are easy to take down (I hate tan lines!). Originally, I planned to splurge on this suit, but the sizing was way off and I ended up with this budget friendly option that is so flattering (the straps are adjustable) and comfortable.
My Freedom Moses slides are the perfect pool sandal; easier than flip flops and come in so many fun colors (I want to get these next!).
Working out on vacation is…really new for me. But I’m trying to prioritize keeping strong and healthy, and these ankle weights are easy to travel with. I’ve been doing Melissa Wood Health quick power series, which help offset the nightly pupu platters. I also brought these bike shorts, which are budget friendly and very on trend.
This linen off the shoulder dress comes with me on every trip. I have the navy, but eyeing the gingham and floral prints.
This hat comes with me everywhere these days (I’m bad at wearing SPF, but better about wearing a hat!!). I also packed an old Madewell canvas hat which is easier for pool time with Charley. Mine is sold out, but this is a good dupe.
These sunglasses are a good Celine copy for under $100.
I purchased this bag right in the middle of the pandemic when travel wasn't really happening, but after this trip, I’m not sure how I ever lived without it! It fits my work computer, iPad and my camera, plus toiletries and a small purse. The best part is, it slides right onto my suitcase which makes schlepping through the airport a breeze. I’m planning to get a lot of use with it this summer!
P.S. Also, rounded up a couple of my favorite Summer pieces on the Shop page. Bon Voyage!
