In Motion With AMY STONE

As a visual person, one of my favorite ways to travel plan is by looking at photography. Between blogs and Instagram, there is no shortage of inspiration. So I've decided to start the new year by kicking off a little Q&A series with some of my favorite fellow travelers (and photographers) to hear all about where they've been, where they're headed and what they won't leave home without. To get things started, I chatted with Amy Stone, a super talented creative with impeccable taste who I've long admired. Her Instagram feed and website are full of drool-worthy images from her travels to places like Palm Springs, East Hampton and Nantucket

So, Amy, what was your favorite travel memory of 2017?
I love traveling, so I could easily find a favorite memory in every trip I took in 2017. Nantucket over Labor Day Weekend for one of my best friends, Mackenzie's wedding was obviously high on the list, along with a getaway to Palm Springs for my birthday that I spent with four close friends. I also loved traveling to Watch Hill, Rhode Island for a beach polo match, as I had never been before.

Where are you heading in 2018? I have two weddings to attend this year, so Austin, Texas and San Francisco are automatically on the agenda which I'm excited about. Nantucket and East Hampton are my favorite east coast summer destinations so presumably, I'll be visiting both when the season comes. In 2018, I really want to go somewhere I haven't been yet. On my list: Provence, the English countryside, and somewhere in Central or South America. All to be determined, though!

Let's talk gear. What do you shoot with? I shoot mostly with my iPhone 7 (time for an upgrade this year perhaps?!) unless I'm with a friend and able to borrow their camera.

What’s in your carry-on? It depends on the destination, but if I'm heading somewhere warm I always pack a linen dress, a one piece swimsuit, and espadrilles

Inflight drink order? h2O! Boring but very necessary when flying.

Favorite travel accessory? Steamline Luggage's carry-on in linen/black leather. Guaranteed to elicit compliments throughout your travels and instant-chic for a put together airport look.

Thanks Amy! Be sure to follow along for more of Amy's inspiring travels on Instagram. And stay tuned for more Q&A's with my favorite travelers.
